Aviation Teamwork

With the King Air out of service due to the lightning strike we’ve had a few situations where creative solutions were needed to meet the transportation needs of our missionary co-workers.

I was called in to bring fuel to an outstation so that the larger aircraft, operated by MAF, would not have to make an expensive diversion for fuel.

As a result I was able to meet some friends and potential co-workers from our supporting church in Spokane, Washington. It was a very pleasant surprise to see them, especially as they are training to serve the Lord in missionary aviation.

This past week the alternator failed on our aircraft. The replacement part will arrive next week, then we’ll have to catch up by transporting those missionaries who couldn’t get to their destination last week.

We’ve nailed down the tickets for our visit to the USA. We need to accomplish a lot during our short time. Thank you for praying with us that we’ll be able to complete the necessary dental work and return to serving our co-workers.

Grad Feast

Graduation Feast

Isaiah has been helping me keep the jungle back away from the hangar since graduating from High School last November. He will be leaving to pursue Mechanical Engineering soon so we had a graduation party to honor his achievements. Graduation from High School is an event many people in this country are unable to experience.

After years without teaching and little more than a gospel presentation the Mengen people will begin to hear God’s word again in February. There are many Mengen people in other parts of the island who have never heard about God’s provision for them through Christ. Pray that those who have not heard the message of eternal life before will hear and believe. Not only that, pray that they will catch the vision of obedience to the Lord and will carry God’s Word to those who have not heard in other parts of their language group.
